Marelle (Lp) [Vinyl]

Opis

Marelle (LP) [VINYL]Opis:Numbered Limited Edition 10" of 500 copies, on amber vinyl, plus download. Joe Moore is like Elefant Record's Brill Building. But the whole building in just one person. We have seen him move through chamber pop, sixties pop, techno-pop, French pop, lounge. This new 10" is dedicated to Jacno (Stinky Toys, Elli & Jacno), and consists of eight songs stupendously sung by Julie Big (Le Superhomard) that are a paragon of fun, fantasy, freshness and an invitation to never leave the dance floor. The early-eighties era was prolific for interesting francophone artists such as Moderne, Droids, Marie Mr, Ruth, Lio, Mikado and ?tienne Daho. Joe Moore plays tribute to that French wave on this tremendously enjoyable tribute. Ultra-danceable techno-pop super hits, full of playful, dance-y synthesizers, like "Marelle" or "Single (Game Over)" that takes us back to a na?ve New Order or the Depeche Mode of "Dreaming Of Me", but with totally bubblegum spirit choruses. There are instrumentals like "Polygone" and "La S?quence" that bring to mind Jacno and Kraftwerk at their most pop. "Le Midi" is pure Lio spirit and, somehow Jacno's shadow hovers over the whole album.
