The Havishams - Edward Cranes - książka wyd. 2011

Opis

“The Havishams” by Ronald Frame is a richly atmospheric novel inspired by one of the most memorable families in English literature. Drawing on the world created by Charles Dickens in “Great Expectations”, Frame turns his attention to the Havisham family and explores the history, personalities, ambitions, and disappointments that lie behind the figure of Miss Havisham. Rather than simply retelling Dickens’s famous story, the novel expands the background of the Havisham family and offers a broader portrait of the people and circumstances that helped shape the world in which Miss Havisham lived.
