The Bad Beginning is the first book in the A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. It tells the story of three siblings: Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. After their parents die in a terrible fire, the children are sent to live with Count Olaf, a cruel man who wants to steal their fortune. The siblings try to escape from him and use their different talents to help each other. Despite many difficulties, they stay together and try to protect themselves from Count Olaf. The story is sad and exciting, but it also shows the importance of family, courage, and friendship.
