Prokofiev: Piano Concertos

Opis

Prokofiev: Piano ConcertosOpis:Product Description Freddy Kempf's 2003 Prokofiev solo recital was described as 'a superb disc' in Gramophone, whose critic went on to write: 'Kempf is joyfully exuberant, flashing through every savage challenge with the assurance and instinct of a born virtuoso.' Kempf, Litton and the Bergen PO now join forces in an all-Prokofiev programme that includes the most popular of his five piano concertos, namely the Third, a spontaneous work, vigorous and melodic in turns and full of striking material presented in a typical Prokofiev manner. This is coupled with the Second Piano Concerto, which Prokofiev himself premièred in 1913, shocking the audience with its modernistic sounds and jagged rhythms.

Review ''There may be no shortage of recordings of Prokofiev's Third Piano Concerto, but this new one from Freddy Kempf with the Bergen Philharmonic and Andrew Litton has a lot going for it. From the liquid expressiveness of the opening clarinet solo, the orchestral contribution is very good indeed, and once the piano enters at the main it's clear that this is going to be an exciting performance, with soloist and conductor working as one. Kempf, Litton and the Bergen players are bursting with life in the faster music, finding jsut the right kind of lyrical repose in the gentler episodes of this movement and jsut the right poise in the slow movement.'' --International Record ReviewAutor:Freddy KempfNośnik:Audio CDPłyt:Język: Data wydania: 2010Waga: 0.18 gramWysokość: 0.4 cmSzerokość: 4.7 cmDługość: 5.6 cmUWAGA: Kupując produkt na tej aukcji zgadzasz się na wydłużony termin realizacji wysyłki (10-14 dni roboczych).
