Settecento: Baroque Instrumental Music From The Italian States

Opis

Settecento: Baroque Instrumental Music From The Italian StatesOpis:Adrian Chandler and La Serenissima take us on a musical short trip through Italy in early Settecento. Stations are some of the most important musical centers of the country: the Kingdom of Naples (with works by A. Scarlatti and Mancini), Bologna (with music by Brescianello) and, of course, the Republic of Venice, including its possessions on the mainland (with works by Dall'Abaco, Vandini, Tartini and Vivaldi). Using the repertoire, which comes exclusively from its own editions according to manuscripts and contemporary sources, the British ensemble proves that it is one of the most remarkable representatives of the early music scene.
