Einsamkeit, O Stilles Wesen - Baroque Cantatas

Opis

Einsamkeit, o stilles Wesen - Baroque CantatasOpis:The baroque orchestra L'arpa festante shows how much wonderful music was created in the German High Baroque: in world premiere recordings the orchestra presents four cantatas by composers from Central Germany. While the Dresden court kapellmeister Heinichen and the Thomaskantor Kuhnau were well-known personalities and are gradually being rediscovered today, Christian August Jacobi and Ernst Nicolaus Thaur are completely unknown. Their music is nevertheless of remarkably high quality! The programme is complemented by a new reconstruction of the Weimar version of Johann Sebastian Bach's cantata No. 80a ""Alles was von Gott geboren"".
